Creating a connection between Booking Factory and Channex:

To create a connection between Booking Factory and Channex you need to follow a few steps


  1. Navigate to Admin portal - Look up the hotel and make sure that it is in "Production"
    If the green dot is not there - click on option - go to edit and tick the box "production account" and save changes
  2. Navigate to Booking Factory and open the property account - Settings - Connectivity Settings - Channel Manager.
    Click "ADD CHANNEL"  and select Channex
  3. Connection Name - Name of hotel or (Production)
    Tick the box "Is Active"
    Api Key - Find the key in Roboform under ChannexAPI for BF and copy it in the input field
    Kepp the box "Production Mode " ticked
    Days to sync - usually this is 500 or 700 (depends on the property needs)
    Choose Hotel - If the hotel does alredy excist in channex click on the search bar and find the property. IF the hotel is new click on Create new hotel 
    Click save


  4. Open the connection you have just made by clicking on the pencil icon all the way to the right

  5. Now you are able to map the property, room types and rate plans
    Start by clicking on unmapped for Double room and select the property (Demo Hotel N).
    Next click on Create new next to the room type you want to map.
    All of the rate plans that exist in Booking Factory for this room type will appear on a list. For the rates that you want to send over to channex select Create new, this will create the rate plan with the occupancy you created in channex.
    Do the same for the following room types and rate plans and select save



  6. Click Sync and confirm in order to sync the systems together
  7. The channel should look like this:


    Next you are able to log into Channex and find this property and check in Inventory if the room types and rate plans that you mapped will appear there.
