CHANGING OWNERSHIP

When a property asks to have the ownership changed (they sold the property or anything similar): 

  • Please check Chargebee and make sure all balance is set to 0 so the change of ownership can be done.

    • ask old owner to send us an email to hello@bookingfactory.io with the new owner in the copy of the email. Or if they are the new owner contacting us, include the previous owner into the copy. As long as they both agree about the changes, we are fine. 

    • We will need the main contact name, email and phone number from new owner.

    • The updated details will be stored in Chargebee and a safe link to update payment method will be sent to the new owner´s email. (Sanja can take over the Chargebee part)

    • if there is soon a subscription renewal, explain that until new owner´s CC details are in, we can not remove the old card details - otherwise the subscription is cancelled. They need to figure this out between themselves. 

    • check with new owner if there is a new team using the system - and whether they need an onboarding training. You can also share link to help centre https://help.bookingfactory.io/en/, and set training with support if it´s really necessary. 

  • The change of log in details for PMS can be done by the previous owner/ manager. Send them article https://help.bookingfactory.io/en/articles/2080949-add-new-users how to edit users. When that is done, they can let us know what users can be removed. 

     

IF ONLY CHANGING MAIN (owner) USER:

  • email from main email contact can be sent to hello@bookingfactory.io with a request to change "owner user".

  • check if the old owner user needs to be blocked

  • check if Chargebee contact is correct

 

IN CHARGEBEE: 

CHANGE CUSTOMER DETAILS AND SEND REQUEST FOR NEW CARD. 

DO NOT REMOVE/ DELETE CARD DETAILS FROM OLD OWNER. 

IN STRIPE: speak with Sanja until dashboard is implemented
