Remote Lock setup

  • Client needs to register to RemoteLock

  • Remote lock account name needs to be same as hotel name in BF

Room mapping

  • BF rooms are maped 1 to 1 with RemoteLock devices / locks 

  • Locks must have name in this format {property_name}_{room_number}. These room names must be uniq.

  • In case BF cant fetch lock from RemoteLock error will be shown in booking history Unable to find BF room #{name} in RemoteLock"where name is in RemoteLock format


  • RemoteLock uses Oauth2 protocol for granting BF access to client data

  • Authorization is done by adding new RemoteLock in /settings/key_lock_systems which will lead client to RemoteLock login page. 

  • After granting us access he will be redirected back to /settings/key_lock_systems.

  • In case client receives Unable to refresh authentication token!  it means something went wrong during refreshing token. Usually this is not happening but in case it does and RL connection is not working remove existing and create new one.
