To move a reservation to a new room after it has been checked in.

Sometimes a guest will need to be moved to a different room mid stay, maybe they don't like the room or maybe there's a maintenance problem. We have a simple way to deal with this situation:

Split a reservation:

  1. Open the reservation card for the guest that you are moving to a new room.
  2. Click anywhere on the room and select "split to another room".
Select the date that the guest will move rooms, select the new room number and type in the reason and confirm.

The reservation is now split in two. The guest was in room 102 for one night and then he checks in to room 102 for 3 nights. Reception is now able to check the guest out of room 101 and release the room for housekeeping to clean. Guest checks into the new room. You will see two lines on the reservation to indicate this.
