Define the Hotel policy to display on your booking engine, use Extras for inclusive and exclusive add-ons, and mark available Room Type Facilities to answer the guest´s question before they have time to ask!

Use Hotel policies for rules that apply to any reservation you receive through your booking engine. In case you would like to set different rules to "group" bookings (or guest booking multiple rooms), you can add custom policy in the text box below here (example: "In case of booking 3 or more rooms, different rules and cancellation policy apply" or "In case of booking 3 or more rooms, the hotel has the right to decline your reservation"). This field is also a great place to add your check in/check out time.

Extras Categories is used to categorize your extras if you have a lot of them and want to keep the system well organized.

Extras should be used for all of your individual extra products that you are selling at your property and want to be able to charge with the room through Booking Factory. For example; extra bed, breakfast, champagne, day tours etc.

You might need to first go to Finance - Taxes and set up different taxes for your Extras.

Remove the pre set up you don´t have, give current and accurate information to the guest. 

Edit the price (in your selected default currency) and edit other details about the extras you plan to use. Keep this section updated. You can add any of these extras to your rate plans in the next steps as included or excluded. Click here for a detailed guide on how to set up Extras. 

Extras is also where you will be setting up your meal plans, whether you want to include them in rate plans (and have the breakdown on invoice showing the meal price) or excluded but bookable separately after the guest has already chosen the room through your booking engine (in that case check the "Sell Online" box). 

Extras can be displayed in the invoicing, so you want to have it detailed and with the correct taxes. 

Mark "Sell Online" for all extras you want to have as an add-on that the guest can book during their booking process (on your booking engine only), after selecting the room. 

NOTE: Avoid ticking the box sell online for extra beds as it would suggest that extra beds are available for all room types at all times. Number of extras can not be limited if set here for online sale.

Let´s call this a warehouse for Room Type Facilities. Delete all the pre set up facilities that you do not offer and add all that are missing, or you can edit the name of the facility and given icon displaying on front end. Select the Edit button on the right of the facility you want to change and select the checkmark on the right in order to save changes.

You will add these to corresponding room types in the next steps.


Please note these settings will be visible and applied to bookings done on your own Booking engine, and how they are picked up and displayed on OTAs is defined by the OTA (so we suggest adding the same setup in your accounts in those OTAs)
